A new series of training workshops launches this month at ALIC @ Bessemer, equipping individuals with essential skills for today’s evolving job market. This marks the second set of workshops delivered at the facility, continuing efforts to support workforce development.

These workshops bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, including practical experience, valuable insights, and latest practices and technology. They aim to advance careers, support local businesses, and drive economic growth as part of the mission of ALIC @ Bessemer.

The workshops benefit the region in a number of unique ways:

  1. Filling a Critical Skills Gap — While additive manufacturing is rapidly growing nationwide, specialized training programs are rare in our region. By offering these courses, we’re equipping local businesses and workers with the skills needed to adopt and excel in this cutting-edge technology.
  2. Strengthening Regional Competitiveness — Crawford County and the surrounding area have a proud history of manufacturing excellence. By introducing additive manufacturing, we’re ensuring our local workforce remains competitive in the global marketplace.
  3. Driving Innovation and Growth — Additive manufacturing isn’t just a skill—it’s a mindset of innovation and problem-solving. These courses will empower businesses and individuals to think creatively, reduce costs, and improve production capabilities.
