Tools for Students
The Career Center at Allegheny College is a hub for connectivity and engagement. We welcome students to meet with a career coach and tap into the community-wide career ecosystem at Allegheny College. To schedule a time with a coach, stop and see us, use the Appointments feature in Handshake, call 814-332-2381, or email career@allegheny.edu to get started.
Browse and apply for a variety of internships and jobs through Handshake. Filter your search for “ac connection” to see opportunities known to be directly supported by alumni. Explore other features, including the employer directory, the events calendar, and career center resources.
Students and alumni can log in from the Allegheny College page and enter an Allegheny username and password. If needed, Alumni can establish new accounts with a preferred email address.
Engage with alumni and non-alumni professionals locally and globally through Gator2Gator! As a student, you have access to a powerful online and in-person network of diverse Allegheny community members that can help you build connections, find your next job, and share their expertise.
Students can log in with a regular Allegheny username and password, and Alumni can establish new accounts before connecting.
Learn simple strategies to support interviewing success through Big Interview. As a student, you have access to a robust, self-paced, practice interviewing portal equipped with sample interview sets, AI-powered feedback, and customized industry questions to help prepare you for internships and jobs.
Students can log in with a regular Allegheny username and password. Users must use an Allegheny email address to access the portal.
Explore GoinGlobal, a dynamic resource that provides extensive, location-specific information that helps find employment at home and abroad. Students benefit from learning about key industry trends, networking resources, work permit and visa regulations, resume/CV writing guidelines and examples, and much more.
