Allegheny College has once again secured a spot on The Princeton Review’s prestigious Best Value Colleges rankings, reaffirming its position as one of the nation’s top colleges for a stellar education with great career outcomes at an affordable price.
Simultaneously, The Princeton Review ranked Allegheny College No. 2 on its list of the Top 20 Best Private Schools for Making an Impact — up from last year’s No. 5 ranking.

The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges report highlights the schools with the highest scores on its ROI (Return on Investment) ratings. The rating is calculated from more than 40 data points spanning academic quality, financial aid satisfaction, alumni starting and mid-career salary figures from PayScale.com, and graduate outcomes.
With an ROI score of 86 out of a possible 99, Allegheny is one of the 209 schools featured out of the over 650 institutions that were surveyed. The Best Schools for Making an Impact list is compiled based on student survey responses to questions about community service opportunities, student government, sustainability efforts, and on-campus student engagement.

This year alone, Allegheny has been named a top liberal arts college in the nation and received honors in the following categories: Most Innovative Schools, Most Accessible Professors, First-Year Experiences, Best Mid-Atlantic School, Writing in the Disciplines, Undergraduate Research/Creative Projects, Best Undergraduate Teaching, and a top-10 ranking for Senior Capstone Projects.
