With an approach to transform lives, Byron Rich, assistant provost of academic innovation and associate professor of art, has had the honor of founding the Allegheny Lab for Innovation & Creativity.
The program has expanded into a second location off campus on Bessemer Street in Meadville, Pennsylvania— ALIC @ Bessemer. Academic innovation has led ALIC @ Bessemer to integrate the liberal arts with technical education.
It serves as a branch campus of Allegheny College, taking a radical approach to training the next generation of manufacturers and professionals in emerging technologies in the region.
