You won’t be molded into just a major at Allegheny. Every major and minor belongs to one of six divisions, and you will choose one of each from alternate divisions. This approach keeps your mind wide open while you draw connections and problem-solve, echoing real world experience and building in-demand skills employers are seeking.
Allegheny now offers 15 microcredentials, such as AI-Driven Content Creation, Human Anatomy, and Filmmaking.These digital “badges” are often completed within existing coursework, or as part of an elective. Their embedded keywords can be leveraged on employment platforms such as LinkedIn even before graduation, giving a leg up for internships, summer jobs, and eventually for the job search.
Allegheny supports pre-health, pre-law and pre-education students by providing them with the tools and experiences to help them succeed. In addition to individual advising, students have access to workshops, shadowing opportunities, field experience, assistance with preparing applications, and test preparation.
