Gator Day is a fall tradition at Allegheny focused on community-building, recreation, and wellness.

Gator Day 2025 Schedule

12:00 – 2:00 pm: Taste of Meadville, CC lobby

Come enjoy the best of Meadville cuisine and drink from local and area restaurants – you don’t want to miss this feast! Merch and SWAG raffles will be part of the fun too!

2:00 – 3:00 pm: Stuff a Plush, 2nd floor of the CC across from Grounds for Change

Sponsored by GAP, come stuff a plush of your choosing – all supplies provided!

2:00 – 3:00 pm: Therapy Dogs, CC 301/302

Sponsored by The Well, come pet some furry friends and add a little calm to your day.

2:00 – 4:00 pm: Grounds For Change Open Tab

Get cozy with a complimentary beverage while hanging out with friends or getting some work done.

Ever wonder what happens beyond the textbook? Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the dynamic world of Allegheny chemistry. This is your chance to discover our innovative projects and vibrant community that make our department so unique.

Have a one-on-one conversation with our faculty members to learn about their research interests, career paths, and how you can get involved. Hear from current research students who will share their research and experiences. Watch CHEMii in action with an engaging demonstration.

A Sustainable Gator Day

As Allegheny is a leader in campus sustainability, we design Gator Day to minimize negative impact to the environment. The event’s sustainable elements have included:

  • compostable catering with plant-based options
  • reusable balloon tower with natural latex balloons
  • digital schedule in lieu of print copies
  • recycled paper table tents
  • plastic-free name tags
  • reusable tote bag giveaway
