Allegheny Tuition Promise for PA and OH Students
You shouldn’t have to choose between the college you want and the price you can afford. Allegheny College is redefining the value of a premier education for Pennsylvania and Ohio families, combining high-impact academics, personalized mentorship, career outcomes, and competitive tuition through the Allegheny Tuition Promise.
Two Powerful Ways We’re Making Allegheny a Financial Fit
Commitment to Access Program
Tuition is free for students from households earning $75,000 or less.
We believe a family’s income shouldn’t determine whether a student can choose an education that challenges them, supports them, and prepares them for what’s next.
Through Allegheny’s Commitment to Access Program (CAP), eligible Pennsylvania and Ohio students whose families have an annual income of $75,000 or less can receive a tuition-free Allegheny education, starting for the 2027-28 academic year.
That’s right: $0 tuition.
Tuition Guarantee
All other PA and OH students will pay no more than $20,000 in tuition.
Pennsylvania and Ohio students pay no more in Allegheny tuition than the listed tuition at Penn State, University Park, approximately $20,000 for the 2027-28 academic year.
That means you can choose Allegheny for the experience you want: a close-knit community, professors who know you, an education that crosses disciplines, and opportunities to put what you learn into action, without paying more in tuition than PSU.
Same tuition commitment. More of what you want from college.
Pennsylvania and Ohio students will pay no more in Allegheny tuition than the cost of Penn State, University Park’s tuition.
Penn State, University ParkTuition ≈ $20,000
Allegheny CollegeTuition = No more than $20,000*
*Similar to Penn State and other schools, housing, meals, and required fees are additional expenses. Allegheny provides substantial merit-based scholarships and need-based assistance, resulting in a total net price comparable to most public institutions. This year, the average aid offer from Allegheny is over $53,000.
