Enroll to Make It Official

Step 1: Reply to your offer of admission by logging into the application portal to tell us your plan.

Step 2: Submit your enrollment deposit in the application portal.

Step 3: Watch your email for information on how to register for your classes and housing. Allegheny email credentials will be sent to students who have submitted their deposit beginning in March.

Step 4: Use your new Allegheny email login to sign in to the student portal to complete the new student checklist.

Step 5: Send a copy of the following documents: official final transcript and any documents related to AP test credits or transferring credits from another school. These documents should be mailed as soon as you have them to: Allegheny College, Admissions Office, 520 N. Main Street, Meadville, PA 16335.

Add a Scholarship and Fuel Your Creativity.

Our Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship (CAPA) is available for students that intend to participate in Dance & Movement Studies, Filmmaking, Music, Studio Art, or Theatre. You’re eligible to apply for the CAPA scholarship if you intend to take courses in these areas, or participate in related extracurricular performances.

Access Additional Financial Aid: FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is the official financial aid application for all federal, state, and institutional need-based programs. Submit the FAFSA with our school code, 003230, by February 15, 2026.

The Fine Print

Provisions of Acceptance

  • Plan to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for consideration for need-based financial assistance (Allegheny code: 003230). In order to receive your financial aid package in a timely manner, we recommend completing the FAFSA as soon as possible after learning of your acceptance to Allegheny.   • Your acceptance for admission may be reconsidered if you submit deposits to more than one institution at the same time.
  • Your acceptance for admission is contingent upon your maintaining the same level of academic achievement and conduct consistent with your application information through the conclusion of the school year. You are responsible for submitting a copy of your final transcript. If your academic performance is inconsistent or if the College learns of conduct that is discriminatory, harassing, or inconsistent with our Statement of Community, we reserve the right to reevaluate, stipulate additional enrollment conditions, or revoke admission.

In keeping with our long-standing tradition and pursuant to our mission, we value students’ right to peacefully and respectfully engage in meaningful civic expression. As a result, Allegheny’s Office of Admissions does not penalize applicants disciplined for participating in such endeavors.

Deferment and Gap Year Options

You may defer your enrollment at Allegheny for up to 1 year to pursue a pre-college gap year, including the opportunity to participate in the Global Citizen Year Partnership. Learn more about deferment options.
