Allegheny College is approximately 30 minutes from I-90 and I-80, a few miles off I-79 in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

To the 454 House, Admissions Office

  • Travel on I-79 to Exit 147A. Continue on Route 322 East, and take the Park Avenue Exit on the right (after exit, stay left).
  • Follow Park Avenue for six traffic lights to Chestnut Street and turn right.
  • At the next stop sign, continue to the left and travel around Diamond Park. At the other side of the park, veer right onto North Main Street.
  • After two lights on North Main Street, veer to the right and continue up the hill.
  • Pass the Patricia Bush Tippie Alumni Center on your right (please yield to pedestrians at the crosswalks), and at the final (11th) gold Allegheny banner, make an immediate left after the 454 House, home of the Office of Admissions, to locate visitor parking.

Traveling to campus from the north

When traveling to campus from the north, please be aware that your GPS may recommend taking exit 154 (Saegertown), a more rural route that will not take you through our hometown of Meadville. Instead, we recommend remaining on I-79 and continuing to exit 147A (Meadville) so you can see Meadville on the way to campus.

To Quigley Hall

  • Travel on I-79 to Exit 147A. Continue on Route 322 East, and take the Park Avenue Exit on the right (after exit, stay left).
  • Follow Park Avenue for six traffic lights to Chestnut Street and turn right.
  • At the next stop sign, continue to the left and travel around Diamond Park. At the other side of the park, veer right onto North Main Street.
  • After two lights on North Main Street, veer to the right and continue up the hill.
  • After passing campus, turn left onto Allegheny Street. Turn into the first parking lot on the left. Quigley is at the bottom of the lot, across the walkway.

To Tippie Alumni Center

  • Travel on I-79 to Exit 147A. Continue on Route 322 East, and take the Park Avenue Exit on the right (after exit, stay left).
  • Follow Park Avenue for six traffic lights to Chestnut Street and turn right.
  • At the next stop sign, continue to the left and travel around Diamond Park. At the other side of the park, veer right onto North Main Street.
  • After two lights on North Main Street, veer to the right and continue up the hill.
  • The Patricia Bush Tippie Alumni Center will be on your right.

To the Wise Sport & Fitness Center

  • Travel on I-79 to Exit 147A. Continue on Route 322 East, and take the Park Avenue Exit on the right (after exit, stay left).
  • Follow Park Avenue for six traffic lights to Chestnut Street and turn right.
  • At the next stop sign, continue to the left and travel around Diamond Park. At the other side of the park, veer right onto North Main Street.
  • After two lights on North Main Street, veer to the right and continue up the hill.
  • The Wise Sport & Fitness Center is on the right.

To the Henderson Campus Center / Vukovich Center for Communication Arts

  • Travel on I-79 to Exit 147A. Continue on Route 322 East, and take the Park Avenue Exit on the right (after exit, stay left).
  • Follow Park Avenue for six traffic lights to Chestnut Street and turn right.
  • At the next stop sign, continue to the left and travel around Diamond Park. At the other side of the park, veer right onto North Main Street.
  • After two lights on North Main Street, veer to the right and continue up the hill.
  • Turn right onto East College Street. At the next stop sign, turn left onto Highland Avenue. The Henderson Campus Center and Vukovich Center for Communication Arts are both on the left.

Traveling to campus from the north

By Plane

Airline service to the area is most readily available through the airports in Erie, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Buffalo. From either the Erie or Pittsburgh airports, you can connect with Greyhound bus lines or rent a car for the trip to Meadville. In addition, shuttle transportation is offered to/from the Pittsburgh airport for all breaks. The transportation website can be accessed at the Student Activities services page.

By Bus

Greyhound bus lines serve Meadville daily with round trips both north and south bound. There is also local bus service from the Meadville Greyhound station to Allegheny departing at 9 minutes past the hour Monday-Saturday, 9 am-5:30 pm, with earlier and later departures some days.
