Allegheny offers three ways to apply: the Allegheny portal, Apply Coalition, and The Common Application. Choose the application that is right for you. All applications are evaluated equally and have the same questions and essay options.

New applicants – if you are just discovering Allegheny College, you can still apply and receive both merit-based scholarships and need-based assistance. We will review your application and notify you swiftly, as space permits.

Test Optional

You are more than your test scores. That’s why Allegheny does not require ACT or SAT scores with your application. Instead we’ll focus on other important factors — your overall high school performance, character, determination, and love of learning.

Once you’ve been offered admission, make it official by submitting your enrollment deposit. Then you’ll get all the details on classes, housing, and orientation.

Financial Aid Packages

After acceptance into Allegheny, you can expect a financial aid award letter in 7-10 days. An award letter can only be sent out if we have your FAFSA on file. More than 90% of Allegheny students receive some form of financial assistance.

High School Seniors: Early Decision

If Allegheny is your first choice school, applying through the Early Decision option allows you to solidify your college plans during your senior year of high school.
