Allegheny Student Government
Student government at Allegheny plays a key role in representing student interests and fostering a sense of community.
Connection to the Administration
ASG works as a liaison with College leadership, advocating for students and helping to shape the overall campus experience. ASG members participate on a variety of College committees, providing feedback and input on planning for campus-wide initiatives, long-term projects, and more.
Leadership Opportunities and Development
By engaging students in leadership roles within regular business and through organizing and planning, students gain valuable skills like teamwork, public speaking, and problem-solving. This enhances the student experience and often drives students to exciting and new opportunities.
Budget Management and Student Support
ASG manages the budgets of student clubs and organizations, ensuring fairness and accountability across the board. Student groups use those allocations to plan and host activities throughout the year, supporting all students and their interests throughout the campus community. ASG may also facilitate fundraising as needed.
