We offer a range of housing options and meal plans. Our flexible packages ensure that students can find the right balance of comfort, convenience, and value while living and dining on campus.
Housing Costs
The Office of Residence Life manages student housing assignments.

Meal Plans
All students living in College residences are required to participate in a meal plan. All students are eligible for the Gator Gold or Gator Blue plans. Gator Blue will be assigned if no plan is selected.
Our meal plans have been thoughtfully designed to ensure that students are properly fueled for each day and week throughout the entire semester. Structured as “Inclining Balance” plans, meal swipes are deposited into your meal plan account weekly. Express Cash is deposited in three installments. Unused Express Cash rolls over from fall to spring semester; unused meal swipes do not.
Changing Meal Plans
The meal plan that you request for the fall semester will also be applied to the spring semester unless another change is submitted. Students may change their meal plan decision through the first week of classes each semester. The meal plan change form can be accessed by using the Google Grid and selecting Adirondak.
Types of Meal Plans
Meal Swipes
- Can be used at Brooks (self-serve, one swipe is all you care to eat)
- Can be used at McKinley’s (stations; limit of three entrees per swipe)
- Does not roll over from semester to semester
- Is not accepted off campus
Express Cash
- Can be used for Grab-and-Go options in Brooks or McKinley’s
- Can be used in place of a meal swipe in Brooks or McKinley’s
- Can be used in food vending machines
- Rolls over from fall to spring semester
- Is not accepted off campus
Gator Cash
Gator Cash funds can be used to supplement your Express Cash. Students choosing to use Gator Cash at any campus dining site receive a 10% discount for all in-person dining (discount is not available when using the GET app).
