Confidentiality Agreement for Volunteers
Confidentiality Agreement for Volunteers
In the course of your service to Allegheny, you may have access to College documents, data, or information that may be confidential and/or privileged from disclosure and/or protected by State and Federal privacy laws – whether or not labeled or identified as “confidential.” All such information must be:
— Used solely for the purpose for which it was shared
— Kept private
— Handled in a secure manner, so that unauthorized individuals are not permitted access
As a Class Agent, Reunion Committee Member, or other volunteer for Allegheny College, through your service you indicate that you understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and that you agree to:
— Never directly or indirectly use, publish, discuss, disseminate, or otherwise disclose College-provided information to a third party
— Never use such information for personal gain
— Keep all potentially sensitive College data and documents (both paper and electronic) secure
— Shred all relevant paper documents and delete electronic documents when they are no longer needed
This agreement is fundamental to your role as a volunteer with Allegheny College, and any breach of its terms may result in termination of your volunteer responsibilities.
