The accounting microcredential provides foundational knowledge of accounting processes and methodologies. Students developan understanding of accounting principles such as recording transactions, presenting financial information, and analyzingcosts.

Skills, competencies, and strengths gained:

  • Understand Fundamental Accounting Principles: demonstrate an understanding of core accounting concepts,including recording transactions, presenting financial information, and analyzing costs.
  • Apply Accounting Methodologies: utilize foundational accounting processes to accurately record and reportfinancial transactions in compliance with standard accounting practices
  • Analyze Financial Data: develop the ability to interpret and analyze financial information to support decision-making and assess organizational performance.

  • ECON 285 – Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
  • ECON 286 – Fundamentals of Managerial Accounting
  • ECON 386 – Cost Accounting
