I joined the Bonner Program because it was an accessible way for me as a student to be active in my community and contribute through direct service and gain leadership experience.
Bonner has taught me a lot about community engagement and being involved in the place I live. Being a Bonner has allowed me to grow in many facets, including independence, leadership, transferable skills, and program coordination. Being able to work on these skills while giving back to my community has been more than I could have hoped for out of my college experience.
Anyone who is interested in community service, leadership, skill development, or community engagement should apply for the Bonner Program. Bonner is a great opportunity to build connections both on and off campus and to give back to the community that all Allegheny students are a part of.
