Grab coffee or breakfast earlier at Cattail Cafe, Diamonds All-Star Grille or French Creek Coffee & Tea Co. Visit the historic Market House at 910 Market Street, open from 9 am to 3 pm. The Market House, fondly dubbed the “Heart of Meadville,” is the destination of choice for local produce, eggs, meats, baked goods, local organic foods, and artisan crafts. Several downtown dining and beverage establishments await your exploration throughout the weekend.

Walking Tour of Downtown Meadville: Diamond Park to The Market House
Tour begins at Diamond Park and ends at the historic Meadville Market House.
Join Andy Walker ’00, Executive Director of the Meadville Community Revitalization Corporation (MCRC), for a walking tour of downtown Meadville, from Diamond Park to the Market House. Andy, the former Meadville City Manager, will share historical information about Meadville and Diamond Park and discuss MCRC’s vision for community revitalization.
Tour participants, please meet at the gazebo located in the center of Diamond Park. Diamond Park is located on North Main Street between Chestnut Street and Walnut Street. For GPS directions, you can use the Crawford County Courthouse address: 903 Diamond Park Square, Meadville, PA. The tour will end at the historic Market House at 910 Market Street, within easy walking distance back to Diamond Park. Please wear comfortable shoes.

This Music Department program features sopranos Carol Bowler Niblock ‘02 and Vicki Jamison, with tenor Kurt Hoffmann Hatcher ‘07, accompanied by Wendy Plyler and Ward Jamison. The first half showcases solo works by Beach, Bizet, Offenbach, Tressler, Weill, and Zimmerman. The second half spotlights The Impresario, a 25-minute comic opera by Mozart in which 2 sopranos, one an experienced star and one an aspiring successor, vie for the role of prima donna. Solo numbers include “Da schlägt die Abscheidsstunde” and “Bester Jüngling” with group numbers “I am the greatest singer here” and “Every artist loves attention.”

Parking is available in the grass tailgating lot.
