Provides foundational knowledge and introductory skills in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions formental health conditions affecting adults and/or children. This microcredential is designed as an educational stepping stone tobuild essential skills for roles supporting licensed mental health professionals or preparing for further training in mental health fields. It is not intended to qualify participants for clinical practice or independent therapy provision but offers a solid founda-tion for pursuing careers in clinical psychology, counseling, or related mental health services.

Competencies gained:

  • Demonstrate foundational knowledge of adult psychopathology, including diagnostic criteria, symptomology, andcultural considerations.
  • Develop and apply core clinical skills in psychological assessment, therapeutic techniques, and ethical decision-making to support professional mental health practice.
  • Enhance critical thinking and professional communication skills essential for mental health-related roles, with afocus on ethical awareness and evidence-based practice.
