- Safe and Inclusive Working Environment Policy and Procedure – This policy specifically governs any off-campus or off-site research activities, including fieldwork, data collection, conferences, and collaborations where NSF-sponsored personnel are present. It is designed to ensure that all individuals involved in NSF-funded projects operate in an environment that is free from harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct, in compliance with NSF policies and federal regulations.
- Financial Conflict of Interest under Federal Grants Policy and Procedure – This policy satisfies a federal requirement that the College establish and administer a financial disclosure policy for investigators. This is designed to ensure appropriate management of actual or potential conflicts of interest.
- Time and Effort Policy and Procedure – This policy ensures compliance with 2 CFR 200, and ensures accurate records of time and effort for employees compensated through a federal grant or whose time and effort are committed as a match on a federal grant.
- Institutional Base Salary Policy – This policy applies to all individuals whose salary is charged to sponsored programs, including both federal and private foundation-funded programs.
- Subaward and Subrecipient Monitoring Policy and Procedure – This policy provides guidance to “pass-through” organizations that are working with Subrecipient. It helps “pass-through” organizations determine each Subrecipient’s risk of non-compliance and appropriate monitoring activities.
- Research Misconduct Policy – This policy establishes Allegheny College’s rules and procedures for responding to allegations of research misconduct.
- Travel Policy for Sponsored Projects – This policy establishes guidelines for travel for any Allegheny College faculty, staff or student whose travel is funded through a sponsored project.
- Procurement for Externally Sponsored Projects – This policy explains the federal and College guidelines for making purchases with sponsored project funding.
- Financial Management and Internal Controls Policy & Procedure for Externally-Funded Projects – This policy ensures Allegheny College’s financial management systems, accounting systems, and internal controls work effectively to manage federal funds in accordance with applicable regulations and the terms and conditions of the award.
