Submissions are open for the 2025 issue of The Allegheny Review until October 15, 2024.
GUIDELINES
The Allegheny Review considers submissions from undergraduate writers year-round. Submit before October 15 to have your work considered for the issue published the following spring. We only consider digital submissions via our online Google submissions form found on this page.
The Allegheny Review only accepts submissions from currently enrolled undergraduate students. If your graduation year is approaching, please use an email address, physical address, and phone number that will be in use beyond graduation. We will need to reach you if your piece is accepted!
We only accept one prose or poetry submission per person per submission period.
We do consider simultaneous submissions. However, if part or all of your submission is accepted elsewhere, please let us know right away by emailing us at review@allegheny.edu.
FORMAT
Submissions must be in either PDF or Word format.
Fiction
Not to exceed 20 pages, double-spaced
Poetry
Up to 5 poems
Creative nonfiction
Not to exceed 20 pages, double-spaced
