Project

Public Arts Feasibility and Commission Design

Description

Developed the foundation for a Public Arts Program in Meadville by conducting and investigating research on commissioning and maintaining public art projects.

Chloe, V and Katie worked to develop the foundation for a Public Arts Program in Meadville by conducting and investigating research on commissioning and maintaining public art projects. The findings of their research led to collaboration between public officials, supportive community members and local artists and has resulted in receiving an Allegheny College Community Project Sub-Grant to determine all the logistics needed for the creation (and later installation) of an actual mural on the Northwestern Pennsylvania Investment Cooperative’s Market Street property.
