Two students worked on a project to collect data to provide a clear picture of the housing needs in the City of Meadville. Their data will also be used to guide policy decisions and determine funding strategies (such as home loan and rehabilitation programs). Their project came about after the City of Meadville was selected to participate in ICMA’s Economic and Mobility Opportunity program. With funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ICMA is providing $30k in grant funds (no match required) for the City and other participating communities to develop and implement an economic mobility initiative in their community.
