Project

Developing Greatness

Description

Developing Greatness is a program developed by the FCCA geared towards providing teenagers, young adults, and college students with an alternative “hang out spot” during off peak hours. Peak hours for teenagers are between 3:00 PM-11:00 PM. This grant will support and fund the kickoff to our newest program “Developing Greatness.” Developing Greatness is a year around program for youth within the Meadville and Crawford County area. Our program will assist teens with life skills such as: homework, teaching teens how to cook and how to have healthy nutrition, teaching teens on handling money and banking, proper mental health, games, and entrepreneurship.

Outcome

The Family & Community Christian Association (FCCA) entered into partnership with Allegheny College to develop a youth mentoring program at the Family & Community Christian Association (FCCA) geared towards supporting the academic, career, and life goals of teenagers (ages 14-24) by providing various opportunities.
