OSHKOSH, Wisc. - Allegheny College senior thrower Frank Tupta (University Heights, Ohio/Hawken) competed in his first national championship on Saturday but was unable to make the cut in a strong field of shot putters.
Tupta turned in a throw of 50-02.50 (15.30m) - just over a foot short of the ninth and final qualifying spot.
