Reunion Giving
Reunion Weekend activities create exciting opportunities to renew friendships and bring graduates back to see the extraordinary transformations that are occurring on campus--transformations that special Reunion Gifts help to fund.
What you do for Allegheny over the next several months will strengthen the College in very real ways for the students and faculty who are here now and for those who will be here in the years to come.
- Why make a special Reunion gift?
- Enduring friendships, outstanding career opportunities, and personal growth--these are a few of the things Allegheny has offered to you. Reunion gifts are a way to give something back. By making a reunion gift you are helping Allegheny open the door to an extraordinary liberal arts education for today's students.
- Although gifts will vary from person to person and from class year to class year, we ask you to make a "stretch" gift in honor of this special occasion. For many of you, this will mean your largest gift ever to the Annual Fund. For others it may mean making a multi-year pledge or endowing a scholarship, professorship, or other fund. As always, a gift of any kind is greatly appreciated.
- The class gift is a tradition and an essential part of the reunion celebration.
- When should I make my gift?
- Reunion giving is counted as a five-year total--gifts from the past two years (two years prior to your reunion celebration), the reunion year and gifts pledged two years out (two years following your reunion celebration) will count towards the class gift total.
- New gifts and pledges must be received between July 1, 2009 and June 5, 2010 so that they can be included in your reunion class gift total.
