Applying to an Allegheny-sponsored Program
Step 2: Get Program Information
- As soon as possible, contact Linda Litzinger at the IO (332-4891) to schedule an interview with the program advisor to review the program.
- Then, meet with your academic advisor. It is extremely important for you to include your academic advisor in the planning process for off-campus study. Discuss all program information with your advisor to see how the courses will fulfill your graduation requirements.
- If you have two majors, both advisors will need to approve your plans to study off-campus.
- If you have not yet declared a major or do not have an advisor in your major, discuss with the department chair of your intended major how studying off-campus will affect your graduation requirements; they must complete the second page of an academic approval form in addition to the academic approval form completed by your academic advisor.
- If you intend for the program to complete minor requirements, we strongly suggest you review these plans with the Director of the minor.
- You can access program information on-line here
- Make sure you give the person enough time to complete the form in order for it to reach International Office before the deadline (Sept. 20 for spring programs, February 20 for fall programs).
